Designed by Avalon Collective and AB Concept, the Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou is the embodiment of sophistication: an exclusive oasis on a private, nine hectare island in the middle of Jinji Lake, just minutes from the centre of the city. The hotel is characterized by expansive gardens and evocative landscapes, enveloping the property and turning it into a true escape from the chaos of urban life.

With over 200 rooms, suites, and private stand-alone villas, as well as a wide range of premium amenities – including a spa, a fully equipped gym, a lakeside jogging track, and indoor and outdoor pools – the structure invites guests to experience the timeless allure of the ancient city of Suzhou while enjoying exclusive Four Seasons service in a refined and elegant setting.

Inspired by the architectural principles of classic Chinese courtyards, the Four Seasons Suzhou magnificently captures the spirit of the local culture through natural elements and traditional artistic, architectural, and cultural details infused with a contemporary touch. Enhancing various spaces in the hotel, Lea Ceramiche’s Waterfall collection has been used for both the flooring and wall cladding of the indoor pool and the entrances to the rooms.

Waterfall, inspired by slate, captures the most aesthetic version of the stone’s sediment, recreating, on stoneware, the harmonious blend of texture and colour, of veining and irregularities that reflect the passage of time. Featuring the characteristic grey tones of slate, this project used the shades Dark Flow (richer and more elegant) and Ivory Flow (lighter and more luminous), mimicking the stone’s natural oxidation process. This combination of materials and hues transforms the environments into sophisticated and welcoming spaces, where natural elegance merges with contemporary design, offering an authentic and timeless experience.
