“Grease”, the set conceived by Diego Grandi, offers a vintage, tongue-in-cheek take on a barber’s shop setting. Theatre-style wings, larger-than-life silhouettes of the tools of the trade, scissors and combs and authentic objects come together to create a setting where a customer might feel they can settle down in the chair for a haircut and a shave.

The set features the new Lea Ceramiche wall coverings throughout.
The floor is tiled using the new collection designed by Diego Grandi, Type-32. On the long Slimtech modules (20x200cm), presented in the new 5 mm thickness, two layers overlap: a screen print that reproduces a wood-like texture, with a more graphic decoration on top, based on repeated diagonal lines. The staves laid side by side are reminiscent of the traditional French-style herringbone design, presented here in the coffee shade and in a combination of two patterns. The result is a continuous carpet effect, designed to decorate homes and living spaces.

On the front wall, the Dreaming model, in the new Bianco Statuario shade, forms the backdrop to the scene. The digital print allows for a precise, rigorous reproduction on the porcelain stoneware of the grey veining of the beautiful marble, while the design, in the lux finish, makes for a bright, sophisticated setting.

On the other side, the set is closed off by a wall featuring drawings of Thirties-style barber’s shop accessories. On the 3m x 1m Slimtech laminated stoneware slabs, the innovative digital printing technique allows for an exceptionally sharp, clear image, a surprisingly attractive appearance and maximum functionality.

The setting is completed with furnishings by Zucchetti. Kos, Fritz Hansen, internoitaliano and Magis.

"Since 2003 I have created five collections for Lea Ceramiche, which have marked several key moments in a process of interpreting the material, a process that has been constant over time."
