Lea Ceramics porcelain stoneware tiles are produced using a very fine mix of quality clay with the addition of feldspar, quartz and kaolin, manufactured by dry pressing of atomised powders and subsequently sintered by industrial firing at temperatures above 1200°C.
Complete vitrification of the tiles allows for a compact, non-absorbent, frost-proof product, resistant to bending, impacts, staining, chemical attack and thermal shock.
Unlike other products, porcelain stoneware is fire-proof, i.e. in case of a fire it does not release toxic fumes or gases. Being an inert material, it does not withhold dust and germs: its structure is such prevents the release of substances dangerous for the health.
The latest cutting-edge digital technology enables production of exceptional designs that feature depth in graphic and astounding colours, faithfully recreating the natural irregularities of cement, stone, marble, wood and other modern surfaces.
